Karel’s letters written during travelling

Karel Kosman photoAbout proofreading

Got one of my brainstorming ideas as I was on my four hour jungle trek on Sunday. Making some good cash from this new customer, $2,500 over a three week period. Good paying work which I don't wanna turn down, and have ended up neglecting the big book translation of Czech immigrants to Cleveland. Also, I'm rather sick of the subject and feel like barfing when I think about proofreading, so I approached some 500 proofreaders and have found three best ones, all of them girls. Putting them through a second round of testing, this time paid, assigning them larger chunks (different authors so their slightly different styles will be okay) so I can more closely examine their work to choose which one I like most. And it occurred to me, since you (we) are obviously rather busy I can farm out the rewriting of my travel book, editing and so forth. Maybe even hire a second proofreader for a second runthrough. Waddayatink? Would be good to get this off the ground.

About fasts

I found a way to reduce weight between fasts. Searched and researched on the internet. Painless. I can compile it for you if you like.

When fasting my stomach never hurts except the first year, when I could do only 1.5 days. After that every year was painless and more days. I think it hurt the first year because my body was excreting tons of toxins it had built up over the years, but once they were flushed out I was purified enough I guess.

Also, my first fast years were with a specific juice of maple syrup, lemon and water. Maple syrup is the healthiest glucose, which is the fuel your body uses and converts to from steak etc. I'd have about 20 table spoons a day and it gave me enough power to bicycle through the hills for half a day.

Eating well to heal skin infections

Oh yah, and you mentioned I should eat more than that. After extensively studying my infection problems I learned quite a lot and have drammatically shifted my diet, and everything is nicely under control. Increase PH by putting baking soda in my water and using sea salt as opposed to table salt (opposite ends of the extreme). Mostly one big salad every day and that's it. Sometimes make noodle soup but add tons of ginger, garlic and tumeric. Do other stuff too but I think this made the greatest difference.

Glad I don't go the route of the usual tourist here, who just goes to the hospital and they overcharge them for antibiotics. One guy I met described how he got into a bike accident, metal got into his leg, infected, they had to scrape and suck out the infection and at one point they didn't give him an anesthetic, because it said it was slowing down the healing too much. He said he never felt such pain in his life, and had to pay a thousand Euro for it. Incredible. When I tried to explain to him there was a much better and cheaper way (he had a needle in his arm pumping antibiotics as we spoke), he just started at me clueless. I think so many people are brainwashed to believe in big pharma they cannot comprehend how their bodies work. Many foreigners get the same problem when coming here. Glad I figured it out.

How to fall asleep

Glad you enjoyed my letter. Yah, go to sleep early if you need. Please stay away from pharma pills to help you sleep. You need natural, real sleep, and if you slow down your evening and then have rest like I said as you lay there with your eyes closed, just still your mind and you will fall asleep, and a real sleep and wake up refreshed. If your mind is filled with a billion worries it will prevent you from sleeping.
