So after escaping from Justin's we didn't last long in Galia's vegetarian
concentration camp. Amazing how some people can live so far out in space.
Her daddy lets her stay at her house for free and she develops all these
ideas of the world moving towards self-sustainment and people throwing
their laptop out the window. But I actually enjoy what I do on the computer
and don't enjoy this garden work. I enjoy making tree houses and working
with wood, but I can translate for an hour and earn enough to pay for
a hotel, eat in a restaurant and pay for all my costs for that day, but
she somehow thinks I should work four hours labour in her garden for a
bowl of soup and the right to park outside her house. Or eat all the food
we bring in, use my computer for internet and claim she is "outside
the system".
So four of us had enough and after only a week escaped to Smolyan, where
we had a fantastic trip and I upgraded my bank account for online banking,
because the Czech bank I have an account at is charging retarded prices.
Out of control and famous across Europe. Fixed up my truck a bit, the
two Singapore chicks who were traveling with us went off to Romania while
Paul decided to stay with Roger. He is an electrician by trade and Roger
needed him. Offered him a thousand Euro a month. Roger gets a thousand
British pounds a month because he convinced the government he is insane,
and said he didn't really need the work, and that he did not fancy the
thought of being so remote and stuck at the top of a mountain with a bunch
of guys. He will be going to England in about five days to show his face
there etc. but flying out of Burgas (where we originally planned to drive
together) to party for a few days with his friend.
Now I'm at Archie's near the coast and am studying how to plaster, because
he's got tons of work for me. 5 Euro an hour won't make me a millionaire
but the deal is that I get to translate whenever something comes in, so
hopefully the earnings for the next month will be good and I'm looking
forward to the workout and learning something new. Becoming a regular
reconstruction dude. Then it's off to the coast midish July. At least
things are interesting and constantly changing. Later.
