Forum for Translators: Non-payer TEK TRANS
Translators: Tek Trans is a very deshonest company. They are very disorganised in terms of jobs and payment for invoices. They rarely pay on time or do not pay at all. It has been a common practice lately. There are lots of complaints in proz: http://www.proz.com/blueboard/1227
Very true, they are not trustworth at all. I have the same issue and complaint with them for one Invoice submitted in August, and up to date no one is bothered to give an answer to, except hundreds of unuseful automated messages from their financial dept.
I worked underSoroya, as Project Manager and the the Project was named: GE Energy., and the P.O. is PO45553
I completed the work and submitted it on Wednesday, August 29, 2012 10:42 PM to:

That's true. In 2011 I fulfilled two large projects for this dishonest company. The first one was paid (though with delay). But I guess this was only to convince me to take another large project. I've delivered it a year ago, in December 2011. No payment yet... Beware of them!

On 2011 everything seemed to be alright
I know that some of the PM left this company some months ago
It's sad to say that this is not an isolated case, I got the same problem in 2011 with a company in Azerbaijan (CTS Translation) who gave me a 2-page translation, paid the day after and then send me a bigger document to translate and for which I have never been paid

we're in the same trouble with TekTrans as you are or were.
Did they pay you? Did you sue them?

I'm contacting some collection fees agencies, but nothing launched yet due to analyse delay and price negociations. I have 3000 € unpaid.
TEK translations (http://www.tektrans.com/) owes its translators over 100,000 EUR, they don't pick up the phone, they don't reply to court order.

Hi, I am another translator who was not paid by TekTrans. I live in Madrid so I went to their offices... to be received by an officer who told me they were not there anymore...

Hi all, the list of us not being paid by Tektrans gets bigger and bigger.
A suggestion from me, is that we all file for a police report.
I have been into this some years ago, not with Tektrans, but another company, and we were many together, and finally, after quite some time, I was contacted by the company/person who wanted to make a settlement.
Better than nothing. I am looking forward to hearing from you out there.
