In my experience it is wise to avoid outsourcers/agencies advertising in this directory from the Middle East, India and China. They usually don't pay.
The latest scam I have encountered from this site are outsourcers using fake names etc. They are usually from either the Middle East or from India.
Don't accept work from those using gmail addresses or who do not want to issue you with a PO. Such outsourcers/agencies will just rip you off.
Hi,
I have worked for him too. It takes 60 working days for him to pay. So far he has only paid me one job. I have no idea when I will be paid the rest, or if I will ever be paid.
Mohammed Finally paid me, after weeks and weeks of delay. I asked him interests to compensate the lost but he refused. He also deducted the amount saying the job was bad. gaelle
And I would like to point everyone to this post of mine: http://www.translatorscafe.com/cafe/MegaBBS/thread-view.asp?threadid=19732&posts=2
Thank you
Due to her poor and lack of quality translation, the main clients refused to cover her jobs, but finally I paid her from my own bucket.
You can contact me and I give you some of translators email and then you ask them about my creditability.

Hi, all!
it is to sad to hear that a colleague is not paid after performing the job!
What i am reading about mohammed Almassri is quite surprising! I happened to work with him on two huge projects and I have been paid in fifty days as agreed. May be I was lucky enough, but the truth is that colleagues should also try to deliver the translations with good quality for the satisfaction of clients.
So, except bad faith from the client, I think some translations are really questionnable, and this is to tarnish our reputation as translators and the good faih of our clients (PMs). Times beeing hard, the profession is now becoming flooded with adventurers and scammers.I has also encountered many bad payers but Mohammed seems not to be one of them.
So, Clients try and pay our moneys and colleagues let's be a bit serious! Stop tarnishing our image and reputation!
I see your point Charle Bella. But,the less we're paid as translators the less time we'll invest in a piece of translation work. So, the person who chooses a translator that will not charge him/her much, then he/she knows what kind of work to expect.
What you said Gisela is totally unprofessional, its not an excuse to send bad quality translation because of low rates, I work with alot of translators, and pay all of them once they send me good and accepted translation.
I have worked for mohammed Almassri several times, and all was paid in time, indicating that Translators Success group has good faith in payment although its rate is rather low. But as an honorable translator, his/her responsibility is to ensure high translation quality once he/she has accepted a job regardless the rate agreed upon.
Isn't this the guy behind those agencies (Translation Secrets, etc) that were stealing the identities of translators? http://www.translatorscafe.com/cafe/MegaBBS/thread-view.asp?threadid=20679&start=81
This is him!!!!!! He still owes me many many money and never answer anymore
Tell them, that you are a bad and weak translator too.
I have been asking many times you to send me some proofs. I am just waiting to see how you change my texts. Can you dare send them online to show any "differences" between my work and yours?
Also, if my work had been so bad, so why do you continue asking me to work for you? Are you proud to say you ask for "ba translators" to work on your projects?....
Please, stop being silly!....
Just send me my money or at least all the jobs you edited from me!! ( ABOUT 15!!!)
Try to contact those translators who post good comments, asking them why I paid them, then you will see that you should be more professional, you should improve your translation skills.
It is too easy to ask to go elsewhere. You are the one responsible I think.....So your responsibility is To answer me directly. With solid proofs.
Sorry for misinterpreting this kind of work. I don't want to criticize anyone because I have no experience at all as a translator.
I honestly believe that Mohammed Almassri should have specified his conditions as regards payment (As I understand in this forum, you'll not pay for low quality translation) Your requirements are reasonable but, considering this site gathers people from different cultures, it would be a good idea to clarify your payment requirements.
As regards my "profesional status" I'm NOT A TRANSALTOR. I'm currently studying at university to become a translator - And I clarify that in every job I apply to. As I also speficied that I cannot guarantee high quality.
Despite my speficifications, Mohammed A as other job posters, offered jobs to me. So it seems that they may have either not read my job application or do not want to hire Professional Translators.
I've worked a couple of times for Mr. Mohammed Al Masri,
and I must say that he paid me every job, he just
have a high standard of quality so you really have
to delivery a good job no matter the rates.>
What I would find normal and correct would be to send an edited and proofread version of the jobs, if he says the job was bad....Just proove it.
You can't say almost 10 jobs are bad and do not proove it...
also, do you find logical to ask a translator to work on 10 JOBS if you find he works so badly?....
Isn't this the guy behind Translation Secrets (which is connected to a lot of other dubious translation agencies from the Gaza Strip)? If it is, I would not work for him. Translation Secrets, Languagemet et al are notorious for illegal activities such as identity theft. There are numerous complaints at proz.com, translatorscafe.com and Linkedin forums. You can even find comments here as well.
Yes, this is the same guy... Also worked for a company called "Gentle Translations"
Right... Translation Secrets (and their partners) have been banned from outsourcing jobs on proz.com http://www.proz.com/blueboard/9086. I also recall that they have been banned from posting jobs in here as well.
Who is the real owner of this Company?
Let them stop tarnishing our image! They remain but scammers?
What a shame to our profession!
I have done 1 job for Mohammed Almassri and received my payment in full. No problems whatsoever.
This is Jill from Taiwan. I had done for him 6 jobs since last December, 2012, and so far, 5 jobs have been paid in full. The payment term of each project was 50 days upon delivery, and I believe I will be paid for next job too. So, I come up here to defend for him. I believe he is not a cheater.
I have been working with Mohammed Almassri and I have been paid - in full and at time - for my translations!
