NATURE OF THE PROGRAMS: The nature of programs of the Centre include: research, training, Consultancy, Community development, women empowerment projects, peace and state building projects and trust building among the community.
HISTORICAL BACKGROUND: Somalia has been without an effective central government for more than two decades so that all research and academic institutions were demolished. To respond and fill the gap, CENTER FOR RESEARCH, TRAINING AND CONSULTANCY was established to operate and conduct researches, trainings and consultations in Somalia to support private and national strategies for peace, recovery, democratization, aid effectiveness and development.
ABOUT THE ORGANIZATION: Center for Research, Training and Consultancy (CRTC) is a non-for profit and non-political center. CRTC established by a group of educated persons and professionals in 2010 and registered in Somalia. It operates to facilitate multidisciplinary research, policy analysis, training, teaching and consultancy and builds human capital through not only organizing high quality professional training workshops, seminars and conferences but also builds and maintains socio-economic and physical infrastructure of the country. The centre has prioritized its targets to raise knowledge acquisition and develop job performance where more professional skills can be acquainted.
MISSION: CRTC mission is to provide a platform for high quality research, training workshops, seminars, and symposium and consultancy services by helping its clients with appreciative excellence professional job.
VISION: Contributing and re-building socio-economic and development for Somali country, and becoming a dynamic center, from where novel management ideas are stormed and tested within an enabling environment by providing relevant information.
MANDATE: CRTC is a tool through which Somali community can engage in domestic and international research approaches, training workshops, capacity building and symposium consultations on issues important for their own interests.

OBJECTIVES:
Provide high quality training, research and consultancy programs at all levels
Enhance knowledge skills to all segments of the society
Facilitate and make easy accessible to all researchers
Build capacity of Somali leaders in the field of leadership and management skills through conducting trainings and workshops in the area of health, hygiene and nutrition
Expand and safeguard space for Somali community to become effective agenda of change
Advocate better and preserved human rights in Somalia particularly vulnerable communities
Conducts needs assessment surveys to hit disaster areas and over all community livelihoods
Study pastoralists and remote areas societies in the country
Encourage collaborative research training consultancy between Somalia and the world researchers, universities, and relevant institutions through a program of fellowships and the organization of colloquium, seminars, and workshops on topics of both general and scholarly interest
Work out strategies that help Somali community improve living conditions of the respected areas or their access to social services by participating in tenders and call for proposals relating to the implementation of projects/programmes.
Provide a forum in which both local and foreign researchers and international organizations may conduct and share their work, and create a transnational community of scholars and researchers, Trainings and consultancies.
