In doing so, first I try to comprehend their paper thoroughly. What field of study, target readers, the objectives, and the context of the language used In my experience, some Indonesian people have problems selecting the appropriate English word to replace the expression in Bahasa. They tend to use general English words rather than academic jargon in English. Besides, they also have problems in applying the tenses. They mixed up the use of tenses and also not skillful enough in applying passive voice which are frequently used in academic writing.
