Regarding my education, I completed a degree in Translation and Interpreting (English, French, and Spanish) at the University of Malaga (Spain), including an Erasmus+ Studies exchange at the University of Mons (Belgium). After that, I studied an MSc Interpreting at Heriot-Watt University (Scotland, UK) with English and Spanish as working languages. In addition to this, I have taken courses on different specialization areas which have been of great use to my translation and interpreting experience: legal terminology, medical translation, translation of contracts, translation of patents, among others. One additional course that may be of special interest to you is the one focused on learning how to use SDL Trados 2019 and Multiterm by FGUMA (2021). These are CAT tools usually slightly covered in translation programs. However, This course allowed me to deeply familiarise myself with how these tools work from a more practical angle. In fact, since the moment I decided to go freelance, I have been using CAT tools, such as Trados or MemoQ in many projects, especially in post-editing assignments. Therefore, I feel confident enough to ensure skills such as attention to detail and CAT tools knowledge. Regarding my experience, I have mainly worked in two great fields of specialisation: medical and legal translation. I have been translating clinical protocols and all documents related to it for big agencies such as IQVIA, and I have been interpreting in Spanish courts and police stations. In addition to these two main fields, I have worked on diverse translation assignments for private clients about international politics and project management. The due date of these projects was always quite tight and, despite that, the quality of my translations was considerably remarkable.
