But I prefer to work at Euro per source word.

I charge for my services at least 20 Euro per hour.

And my minimum charge per document is 20 Euro.

I have obtained an official translator / linguist degree.

I use the following tools: SDL Trados, Wordfast, OmegaT, Alchemy Catalyst, TransSuite2000, Transit, Dictionary.

I am best in the following fields: Advertising & Public Relations, Arts and Humanities, Cinema (Film, TV, Drama), Cosmetics / Beauty, Diplomas / Certificates / Etc , Education / Pedagogy, Food / Nutrition, Linguistics, Psychology, Religion, Slang.

As a Linguist from respective university in Nigeria i.e Bayero University Kano,i would like to say that translatior most havethe knowledge of both languages working on, most be aware of cultural differences between the source and target languages.
Beside the knowledge of the Languages, translator most have the knowledge of the content. Otherwise one might misinterpret it. A translator most be aware of the technical terminology required for a specific register,eg legal document,or agricultural field. One most use have an access to the legal terminology such as dictionary encyclopedia and other technological tools. Even though, the job of translation can be very tasking, tricky and demanded, therefore translator have to be dedicated, interested, motivated and creative in his job.
Creativity is an essential quality for a translator, especially for literacy and communicating type of translation. He/She most show respect for content of the text and be willing to express his/her own creativity for someone creation.
Intent and purpose of the source language should be aware by the translator so that he can do justice to the function of the text such as expressive, informative,and communicative etc.
Clearity and vitality of expression are necessary ingredients for a good translator.
Translator most understand the methods, procedures of translation for a proper guide to his work.
Finally a translator should try to decode a language and decode it's message in another language.
