The Role:
• Formatting foreign-language scripts for Hollywood movie into subtitle files in accordance to studio specifications for DVD distribution
• Matching foreign-language subtitle files to English audio and vice versa
• Performing quality control checks on language subtitles
• Liaising with Language Project Coordinators in affiliate offices worldwide
Duties & Responsibilities:
• You will assess the incoming text material from Hollywood studios (dialogue lists, spotting lists, continuity lists, subtitle files)
• You will determine and perform the appropriate format conversion (converting to and from PAL/NTSC and/or Blu-ray)
• Using proprietary software, you will match the non-English subtitle file to the master English file and vice versa

Details of the project: We at Poweronics (www.poweronics.com) need native translators, who are teaching their native languages also for more than 1-2 years(better experience of more than 3 years in reputable institutions)for creating language tests for their respective native languages only, on URGETNT basis.
Here is the list of languages we need the tests for now:
Danish,Swedish, Norwegian,Serbian,Czech,Korean,Turkish,Romanian,Finnish,Dutch.

You will have to send us your resume/C.V. along with documentary proof of your language teaching experience from the relevant institutions and references also.You can also send scanned copies of your diploma/degrees to show your ability to be chosen for this task.
Please note that this is not a translation job rather you must be a language teacher of your native language(in addition to a translator)to create a language test in your own/native language.The language test details will be provided to the shortlisted candidates only.
Please do not send your application if you cannot send a proof of your language teaching experience.We will not consider such applications.
