The team at Lionbridge Technologies with solution centres in 25 countries worldwide is recruiting part-time self-employed workers who are fluent speakers in Greek and English who are based in Greece to join its team of Internet Assessors.
Requirements:
- Proficiency in English is essential
- Fluency in Greek is essential
- We are seeking people who have access to the internet, and are confident in using the Internet
- Background in IT is helpful but not essential
- For cultural and historical awareness purposes you must be resident in Greece for 5 consecutive years
The main aim of the work is to improve the quality of a search engine’s results for all web users worldwide. The work involves evaluating results of a web search, for their appropriateness to the search query input. You will be required to provide feedback i.e. your opinion of the result displayed.
The hours are flexible to fit around your family and home life, and the position is ideal for someone looking for a work-life balance (10-20 hours per week).

I have a requirement for quotation on very big Project.
The Project is about 900 pages (1page /1800 characters with spaces).
It is accounting and account management software of one of biggest software developer company in Turkey.
Very enhanced software, that’s why its spreading rapidly and widely abroad Turkey as well.
Estimated period that we can get as deadline for whole work is about 1 months.
At the end of every week we need to deliver ¼ of the project.
It’s about 225 pages a week.
The price they are offering is 5USD/Page
Customer is paying for every delivered part of the translation just at the beginning of next week.
(Friday or Saturday you deliver, Monday or Sunday you get paid latest within a week.
So there is only 2-3 days time interval for getting paid ).
About %20 -%30 of whole text is just numbers and symbols.
And about %20 of the text is in %100 repetition.
Also there are lots of %55-75, %25-55 matches.
You can translate this text using Trados very practically.
I have translated this software into Russian and Bulgarian.
I am aware of that this price is lower than normal rates.
But 4500USD a month, especially in cash is not bad money.
And translation is not so challenging as it seems if you do it with Trados.
Below is the sample of translatable text.
When you begin the translation you can easily realize that for this work this price is not so low.
