Details of the project: Hello.
I need a Japanese translation of dialogues. It's a story about Japanese high school delinquents living their autumn before graduation.
These dialogues are for the game and since I don't know any Japanese and can't judge a quality of the translation I want my current Japanese players to decide which translator to hire.
So I'd like you to do a little test which results I'll give to them. It's the scene of Goro calling out and walking with his friend Ringo.
I need a really good translation and I prefer a native Japanese to do the job.
Thank you for your time.
This job is already available.
Sample text (50 to 200 words): Ringo!
What's the matter?
Let's go look at the lights.
What friggin' lights?! It's 3 am.
At the waterfront.
Did you hurt your head again?
Come on down.
What lights, Goro?
At the waterfront. Come walk with me.
I'm scared of owls.
Owls?
You know, the creaturess that attack smaller animals after dark and suck their blood. Ferocious beasts.
You mean bats?
No, owls.
Never heard of such a thing.
You wouldn't, you never lived in the countryside.
Had you?
My grandma had.
Never been there.
Me neither.
Aren't you curious?
It's just across the river, Goro. Do you think there's candy growing on trees there or something?
There's gotta be something different there.
I doubt it.
Where is it then?
What?
Something different.
No idea. This is too much to be talking about at 4 am.
I think it's gotta be different someplace else. Gotta be someplace.
