Headquartered at Burbank, California; We are a 100 year old company dealing with two business segments: Content Creation and Film Distribution. Our clients include major motion-picture groups such as 20th Century Fox, Sony, Warner Bros. and Universal Studios etc.
We are looking for freelance translators for German to work on frequent premium projects for our clients.
Freelance translators and proofreaders from English to German are urgently required.
Please find below the main duties:
Translating from English into German
Proofreading and editing client-provided materials
Conforming existing scripts / subtitle files to precise specifications of various clients
Education background, Experience and Competencies:
Native speaker of German
Possess a strong knowledge of English language
Should have prior translation Experience
Possess a Bachelor’s Degree in Translation / Literature, Subtitling, Arts, Journalism / Proofreading / Editing experience
Computer literacy & a thorough knowledge of MS-Office is a must
Resourceful, excellent time management, ability to multi task on numerous projects and meeting deadlines are some of the competencies we seek
A vivid taste for the entertainment industry / movies, especially North American cinema and television
Other requirements:
Flexi work timings (as per the time zone & availability)
Must have access to a private machine. We discourage working on our client material over office / public computers/laptops. Access will not be granted.
