I am a native speaker of English.

My minimum rate is 0.07 Euro per source word.

But I prefer to work at 0.08 Euro per source word.

I charge for my services at least 20 Euro per hour.

And my minimum charge per document is 50 Euro.

I have obtained an official translator / linguist degree.

I have been working as a translator since 2013.

I provide the following services: Translation, Proofreading, Interpretation (consecutive), English and German Transcription.

By today, I have translated about up to 10,000 words.

I use the following tools: Wordfast, OmegaT.

Regarding experience, I already possess a Bachelor’s degree which focused largely upon German to English Specialised translation and I received additional training at the University of Stendhal in Grenoble as an Erasmus student as well as a fully funded course in translation at the Hochschule in Bremen, Germany. For my BA at the University of Warwick, I was awarded a 2:1 grade and consistently high marks in specialised translations for literary, scientifc and journalistic texts.

I have carried solid freelance work from contacts that I have as well as work experience of translating in-house while working on an internship at Forum for the Future to assist in their high profile renewable energies policy campaign. I have a reference to testify this as well as email recommendations regarding my freelance work to date.

I am committed to gaining more experience in the area of translation, to continually engaging in professional career development and to establishing myself in this line of work. For this reason I am now embarking on the Diploma in Translation to further enhance my skills and to become state approved in the field.

I use Trados Studios 2015 this enables me to work to a higher standard and produce top quality translations. I place great emphasis on preserving the original style of the text in order to produce a high quality rendering of the source language into the English target language.
