My name is Holly James and I’m a freelance translator based in Paris working from French, German and Spanish into English.

I have been working as a freelance translator for eight years, both with agencies and direct clients. I have experience translating a range of text types in several fields (including business, economics, gastronomy, marketing and retail) but my main areas of interest/expertise are:

I have an MA in Translation Studies from the University of Portsmouth and a BA in Modern Languages (German and Spanish with French) from the University of Exeter. I am also a full professional member of the Chartered Institute of Linguists. I work with SDL Trados Studio 2017 and am familiar with several other CAT tools including Memsource and Omega-T.
