In the world we're in, we interact a lot with different people. Communication is key in these interactions for mutual understanding. At times we miss words or phrases to pass our thoughts as message to the intended party especially when they use a different language from ours. TRANSLATION becomes paramount here. Well, get this from me. My name is Isaac; a humble, God-fearing and disciplined young man. I am from Kenya, a Swahili and English speaking country. I am a native Kiswahili speaker and I have a good command of English both in writing and in speach. I am also pursuing a bachelors degree in education and soon I'll be done. Kiswahili is one of the subjects that I am being prepared to tutor and also teach. In my being trained as a teacher, I got to know the different types of translation that we have both in Kiswahili and English. The needs of the work being translated are what determines the type of translation to employ but the main goal being COMMUNICATION. I've also translated different works both in my training and in my hustles that I have always done to my level best. I employ different tools in my translation work, the Oxford English dictionary and Kamusi ya Karne ya 21 being the most that I use all to ensure my work is error-free and non-plagiarised.. Sometimes we lack words that have synonyms in the receiving language so we get to understand the context and give a description in that receiving language. I have worked with individuals and also different groups in doing translation for books, plays, conversation just to mention a few. For easy-to-understand translation works, then I am the person you are looking for. To add on that, I also do English and Kiswahili transcription, editing and proofreading, typing too. I am therefore looking forward to working with clients for both short-term and long-term projects to help them reach their target audience and communicate effectively.
