•Reading through or listening to material in one language, ascertaining understanding of the meaning and context of that material, and converting it into a second language, making sure to preserve the original meaning by focusing on (1) Language Quality (grammar, punctuation, spelling), (2) Style (readability, consistency, natural fluency, tone, paraphrasing), (3) Tags and Layout Issues (Fixing tag mismatches, white spaces, missing spaces, double spaces), (4) Translation Errors (compliance, mistranslations, additions or omissions, fixing mistranslations of a double-meaning word) and (5) Terminology and Translation Consistency (Use industry-standard terminology and following customer’s instructions about terminology).
