I am a Journalist with 10 years experience. I have experience in typing, editing, news reporting, writing, photography, video production, translation and transcription, audio production, doing voice overs and teaching. Translation, interpretation and transcription; I have been doing translation from English to Luo and from Luo to English for the past ten years. I did this for spot messages, adverts, announcements, church services, etc. Voice overs; I have done several voice overs for feature stories and sound bites. My voice is bass, warm and smooth. Typing; I have been typing news stories for mediums like radio, news papers and also for customers including students, individuals, schools, etc. My typing speed is 60-80 words per minute. Editing news stories and documents; I can edit news stories in AP style and academic documents like reports and dissertations. Photography and video production; I can take excellent photos, edit them and also produce documentaries, films, etc. I have been teaching students these skills and many of them are already practicing the trade. Audio production; I have been producing audio at the several radio stations that I have worked for. I have also been producing audio for my customers including NGO's and individuals. The audios include spot ,messages, adverts, voice overs, feature stories, etc. Teaching journalism students. I have been teaching journalism students for the past ten years, marked their course work, tests and exams and also supervised them during internship. I also mentor them to become successful in their careers.
