I, as an experienced translator for about 10 years, have a strong willingness to express my interest in the freelance translator job. First of all, since my career started, I have worked as a reliable and trustworthy translator for Japan International Cooperation Agency. Then, I was offered to serve as a translator in the Myanmar Peace Center which had, at that time, a very important role in national reconciliation and peace-building among many ethnic armed groups and various kinds of societies. When I was at Myanmar Peace Center, mainly my responsibility was to translate research documents, guidance, operating structures, frameworks, and other highly technical terms relating to the peace process. Moreover, I extracted “the art of Negotiation” written by Johnathan Powell and translated it, and we, as Myanmar Peace Center, got permission to translate this book from the original author. I served as “Consultant – Translator (Retainer)” for the projects of UN-Women regarding migration and gender-based violence as well as projects of UNDP concerned with local governance in which we need to especially deal with the General Administration Department. With my big client, FHI-360, not only do I participate in capacity-building training for many local civil societies and media organizations so that they can be the advocates for law enforcement but also I committedly involved in a number of workshops for awareness-raising of CEDAW and sexual harassment policy within their offices. So, these kinds of experiences perfectly matched what this organization needs.
