My minimum rate is 0.03 Euro per source word.

But I prefer to work at 0.05 Euro per source word.

I charge for my services at least 10 Euro per hour.

And my minimum charge per document is 100 Euro.

I have not obtained an official translator / linguist degree, but I still provide high-quality language services.

I have been working as a translator since 2008.

I provide the following services: Translation, Proofreading.

By today, I have translated about 500,000 to 1,000,000 words.

I use the following tools: SDL Trados.

I am best in the following fields: Arts and Humanities, Electronics, History, IT / E-Commerce / Internet, Literature / Poetry, Philosophy, Religion, Telecommunications.

I am not a sworn translator.

I am available for work Full week, Monday through Friday.

Although my major is in computer science, my bilingual background and my interest in linguistics and literature in both the Arabic and English languages provided me with a substantial ability to express myself in both languages. My experience with translation began in university when I used to do some minor translation work for software oriented companies to provide myself with some extra college money. My work impressed them enough to maintain contact with me even after I began working as a computer programmer and I took several dispersed jobs in translation until I became fully dedicated to translation in 2009 and I did not look back since. Over these years of work as a translator I successfully completed a wide variety of translation projects ranging from children stories such as a series of pulp novellas which I've translated for Digital Future Company in Lebanon to a 24 volume encyclopedia on Sufi terms which I've translated for the Kasnazan Foundation in Jordan. I also translated works such as "Ibn Khaldoun's Introduction", "The Story of Faith" and eight other works for Dar Al-Kutub Al-Ilmiyyah, Lebanon. I have completed two translation contracts for UN-ESCWA in Beirut in 2011 and 2013. I strongly believe that translation is not just the ability to convey the meanings of one language in another one, in addition to the set of linguistic, research and computer skills any translator needs, he/she needs to be able to take the role of the writer of the original text, to be the writer, so to speak, but in another tongue, so that if the writer reads it in the target language he's say: this is how I would have written it! This is probably too idealistic, but it is an objective one must strive for.
