My minimum rate is 0.03 Euro per source word.

But I prefer to work at 0.05 Euro per source word.

I charge for my services at least 25 Euro per hour.

And my minimum charge per document is 30 Euro.

I have not obtained an official translator / linguist degree, but I still provide high-quality language services.

I have been working as a translator since 1964.

I provide the following services: Translation, Proofreading, Interpretation (consecutive), Subtitling, Copywriting, Tour Guiding, Market Research, Consulting, Teaching (Language Courses).

By today, I have translated about more than 1,000,000 words.

I use the following tools: Wordfast, Deja Vu, TransSuite2000, Transit, J-CAT.

I am best in the following fields: Agriculture, Arts and Humanities, Cinema (Film, TV, Drama), Diplomas / Certificates / Etc , European Union, General, Geography, Government / Politics, History, Journalism, Law (General), Literature / Poetry, Social Science, Travel & Tourism.

I am not a sworn translator.

I have worked in translations in the USA for more than 35 years. I started with the State Dept. in Washington DC in 1985 and continued as a contractor then a civil servant until late 2016.

I have a PhD in politics from Indiana university. In addition I worked for a press agency for upward of 5 years where my job was writer/translator.

In addition I worked in translations both in Lebanon and Kuwait. My target language has been English and Arabic. My source language has been English and Arabic.

I have an MA in Arabic literature from the American University of Beirut Lebanon.

I live in Silver Spring, MD where I do translations and interpretations for a number of firms.
