Details of the project: Our company is pleased to announce an expansion of our global network of professional and technical translators.
We are seeking highly qualified freelance translators with proven experience in technical, legal, governmental, institutional, and professional translation services.
As part of our continued growth, we are looking to engage skilled linguists across a wide range of language combinations, including Afghan, regional, Middle Eastern, South Asian, European, East Asian, Southeast Asian, and African languages. Translators must possess excellent linguistic competence, strong subject-matter expertise, and the ability to deliver accurate, culturally appropriate, and terminology-consistent translations.
We are particularly interested in professionals capable of working in high-demand language pairs involving English, Pashto, Dari, Persian (Farsi), Arabic, Turkish, Urdu, French, German, Spanish, Russian, Chinese, Japanese, Korean, and numerous other international languages.
Successful candidates will have the opportunity to collaborate with the Translation Management Unit on a project-by-project basis and contribute to the translation of official, technical, legal, and institutional documents for a diverse range of assignments.
Requirements:
• Native or near-native proficiency in at least one source and one target language.
• Demonstrated professional translation experience.
• Strong knowledge of technical and professional terminology.
• Excellent attention to detail and commitment to quality.
• Ability to meet deadlines and maintain confidentiality.
• Experience with CAT tools is considered an advantage.

Special requirements to the applicants: Applicants should meet the following minimum requirements:
Native or near-native proficiency in both the source and target languages for the language pair(s) they are applying for.
Demonstrated professional experience in technical, legal, governmental, institutional, or official document translation.
Excellent written communication skills and a strong command of grammar, style, and professional terminology.
Ability to produce accurate, culturally appropriate, and terminology-consistent translations while preserving the intent and formatting of the source text.
Strong attention to detail, analytical thinking, and commitment to delivering high-quality work within agreed deadlines.
Ability to maintain strict confidentiality and comply with Non-Disclosure Agreement (NDA) requirements.
Familiarity with CAT tools (e.g., SDL Trados Studio, memoQ, Phrase, Smartcat, or similar) is considered an advantage.
Successful completion of TMU's translation assessment and onboarding process is mandatory before engagement.
Applicants must complete all translation assessments independently. The use of Artificial Intelligence (AI), machine translation systems (such as ChatGPT, Google Translate, DeepL, Gemini, Claude, Microsoft Translator, or similar tools), or third-party assistance during the evaluation process is strictly prohibited and may result in immediate disqualification.
Only shortlisted candidates who successfully complete all stages of the recruitment process will be considered for inclusion in TMU's professional freelance translator network.
We want to pay for this job: 25 EUR per hour
