I need a translator who knows Sicilian enough to translate: Job 00079596

Source language(s): English
Target language(s): Sicilian, Italian

Details of the project: I am starting a company that includes cultural collaboration as part of its mission.

We are focused on building connections with Italians and Sicilians in the diaspora, including in the US. I want the founding document offered in English, Italian, and Sicilian.

I need a translator who knows Sicilian enough to translate the English. It's a five-page document.

This job is: potential.

Sample text (50 to 200 words): Founder’s Statement
Visionary pioneers have always faced decades of dismissal before recognition—Emily Dickinson published almost nothing during her lifetime; Van Gogh sold one painting and died poor; Semmelweis died mocked because doctors were offended at the suggestion that they should wash their hands. They aren’t alone. Countless others never lived to see vindication.
Older Millennial working-class women who participated in raunch culture in the early 2000s and were then retroactively pathologized by frameworks meant to liberate them didn’t just suffer an intellectual injustice. They suffered a specific kind of psychological wound—the experience of being told that their own choices were symptoms of oppression, that their pleasure was false consciousness, that their bodies were evidence of victimhood. That’s a shame architecture. Someone needs to dismantle it.
Revolutionary work often requires operating outside the institutions that would constrain it. Isolation is a structural requirement, not a personal failure. Success (when it comes) vindicates that choice—but many never live to see that recognition.
Working-class women cannot wait that long. Their experiences are being erased now. Institutional accountability is slipping away now. Stories 4 Da Fam (S4DF) exists to solve what I call the “Van Gogh Problem”: converting the isolation inherent in pioneering work into immediate social change. We use literature and AI to compress the timeline from decades to years—delivering justice to people who can still benefit from it, at tech-company speed
