This is a freelancing position with no limitation as to the location. You may work from the comfort of your home, provided that a strong internet connection is available.
Translator:
- Create localized English subtitles for video content in Mandarin with Chinese (Simplified) scripts.
- Subtitles must be translated with high accuracy and according to guidelines provided by the team.
- Occasionally, take on proofreading and QC tasks as assigned by our team.
- Each task will have different rates, in USD, per program minute.
- To proofread translated subtitles for grammatical errors.
- To check for format/guideline errors in translated subtitles.
- To work and communicate with our Project Team regarding assignments
- To be responsible for providing high-quality translation within the deadline given by our teams.
Qualifications:
- Native or Native-like level of proficiency in English and Mandarin (Chinese Simplified) with a good command of both colloquial and written English.
- Attention to detail and accuracy. Previous experience in translation or proofreading is preferred
- Able to strictly follow guidelines provided by the team.
- High responsibility and punctuality when meeting deadlines.
- Important! Must be extremely responsive to the project teams via emails and other communication channels.
- Able to work in a fast-paced environment and within limited time constraints
- MUST be techno-savvy
