Title: Language Expert – Gujarati
Job description:
1. Listen to audio files, identify issues in pronunciation, clarity of speech, foreign words (non-Gujarati), etc.
2. Split a Gujarati word based on pronunciation (syllables or logical units)
3. Review documents in Gujarati and identify issues like grammar, spell, foreign words (non-Gujarati), etc.
4. Create original content in Gujarati language on a given topic.
5. Type given Gujarati content in Office applications like Word, Excel, PowerPoint, ...
6. Translation of content from English to Gujarati language and vice versa.
7. Browse internet and identify content in Gujarati language and correlate similar content in English or other Indian languages.
Skills required:
1. Candidate completed schooling with Gujarati as first language. It means candidate studied subjects like Maths, Science, Social, etc. in Gujarati language.
2. Candidate could have completed Graduation / Post Graduation in any subject (preferably Gujarati literature – but not essential) either Gujarati or English.
3. Candidate has sound knowledge on Gujarati language which includes using correct pronunciation, grammar, spell, etc.
4. Candidate has skills to identify and precisely point issues in pronunciation, grammar, spell, foreign words (non-Gujarati), etc.
5. Candidate has basic computer skills which includes ability to use MS Office applications.
6. Candidate has Gujarati typing skills – ability to type content in Gujarati language with ease.
7. Candidate has necessary English skills to understand work instructions and communication within team in English.
8. Candidate who has prior experience in one or more of following
a. English Gujarati translation (original – not using tools)
b. Active blogger in Gujarati
c. Gujarati proof reading
