Details of the project: We are looking for candidates who:
- Are fluent or native in Dutch & English language;
- Have their own personal laptop and are able to use it for this job;
- Are learning oriented;
- Are innovative;
- Are self-motivated, pragmatic, friendly and communicative;
- Are reading through original material and rewriting it in the target language, ensuring that the meaning of the source text is retained;
- Are using specialist dictionaries, thesauruses and reference books to find the closest equivalents for terminology and words used;
- Researching legal, technical and scientific phraseology to find the correct translation;
- Liaising with clients to discuss any unclear points;
- Proofreading and editing final translated versions;
- Providing clients with a grammatically correct, well-expressed final version of the translated text, usually as a word-processed document;
- Using the internet and email as research tools throughout the translation process;
- Prioritizing work to meet deadlines;
Job description:
- Types of texts from different area need to be translated into Dutch (from English);
- Ability to work to deadlines;
- Good general knowledge;
- Excellent spoken and written English;
- Fluency in at least two foreign languages.
