Hi, I answered to a job posting on Translation Directory the other day and now I received a first job offer, but the rate is very much beyond market level and I wonder whether this is a scam.
The job poster pretends to be from Skyhorse Publishing in New York (which seems to be a serious company), but their email address does not match the publishing house´s domain (dort ORG instead of dot COM), and the Company ID /LT542974) does not seem to appear in the public register.
I suspect this is a scam. Has anyone had any contact with their alleged Recruiter coordinator, Salman Aslam?

I got an email from this person, too but I didn't answer it. I did a short check on ChatGPT and the result is the following:
* the Company ID: LT542974 does not appear in a public register
+ it couldn't be varyfied that this person works for Skyhorse Publishing
* the address seems to be correct
I feel it's a scam.

Beware, this is a scam. After delivering the job they pay you through a fake platform where you have to deposit 300 USD if you want to get paid.
