Forum for Translators: Fraudulent use of our company name Mincor, Inc.
I’m writing to inform you of a serious impersonation issue involving a person identifying as “Anna Jones,” who has been contacting translators and interpreters listed in your directory while falsely claiming to represent Mincor, Inc. in recruitment efforts.
This individual is not affiliated with our company, and her communications are fraudulent. We are taking steps to protect our reputation and prevent further victimization.
We kindly ask all members to be alerted and, if possible, investigate whether this person has used this platform to initiate contact.
I can provide her email address and copies of the messages if needed.
Thank you for your attention and support.
Sincerely,
Jaime Minino
Thanks for the heads-up!
I got one of these emails last month. This person used the APTIC web information to initiate contact.
The content of the email seemed suspicious initially. Therefore, I rejected the offer.
However, I was about to accept it today when I came across your warning by searching her credentials on the web.
Many thanks!!!!
Sincerely,
Xaro Campo
