Forum for Translators: Don't work for John Hyde, Flatworld Solutions, Bangalore India
They will give you a fake contract which has no pay rate and promise you to pay $40/hr. But in fact, you will get paid that money for the length of the audio file, meaning if the file is 120 min long, you will get paid $70 for your work, no matter how many hours you spent translating the file or transcribing it. And the payment will come 2 months later if at all. They are located in Bangalore, India, but the contract is signed with the company located in NJ, but it's a very general document which obligates them to nothing. Save your time for something better.
Hello Irina,
My Name is john Hyde mentioned in the post,
I never worked with Roxanna, I worked only with Irina Rudnev for Russian translation when I was working with that firm.
We paid the full amount to Irina, myself and Irina were in communication during the time, it’s not a fake agreement. We have all the documentation in place.
The transcription work and the pricing is paid by the total duration of files (audios/videos) and not by the time taken to complete the process.
It’s not the fault on our side and request the admin to remove the fake post.
If you have any questions Please mail me @ jhnhyde949@gmail.com
Thanks,
John Hyde.
Hello Team,
First Up, Thanks for removing the fake post.
With reference to Irina’s comments- I worked with Irina Rudnev for Russian transcription project.
We paid the full amount to Irina, myself and Irina were in communication throughout the time,
We work with partners across the globe and all our partners are working with us for more than 6 years, the agreement is called a DPA- delivery partner agreement and Please Note it’s not a fake agreement. The firm is registered in Princeton, New Jersey and we have delivery centers across the globe, we have all the documentation in place including the signed copy of the agreement from Irina Rudnev. I am based out in Bangalore, India heading translation dept.
I was surprised to see that Irina rudnev was expecting to pay for all the hours she spent and worked on the two hours audio.
She told me that she spent more than 18 hours transcribing the audio, Please Note: the transcription work and the pricing is paid by the total duration of files (audios/videos) and not by the time taken to complete the process. It’s a worldwide process used by all the transcribers.
Payment: We have paid the full amount to Irina, But As you aware if you are transferring thru PayPal or a wire transfer, you have pay the surcharges 4.5% and the transaction fees. The remaining amount will be debited to the partner.
I tried to reach Irina as soon as I read the post, but there was no response.
If you think that I am wrong, Please feel free to reach me if you need further clarification on the above,
Again, I have followed the standard procedures and request the admin to remove the post.

Thanks for sharing the information. Yes we have to be very careful with these guys! I had some bad experience with several "famous" clients and also shared my stories in other threads here.
Just don't let them steal our hard works!
