Forum for Translators: LANGUAGEMET: NON PAYERS
Beware!!!!! LanguageMet will not pay you if you work for them!!!!
I have just received this from LANGUAGEMET. Has anybody worked with these guys?
Authorization and Agreement
Can you give us permission, authorization and agreement in order for us to send your CV to our clients?
If yes, we will remove your contact details to avoid direct contacts with clients. In this case, we will use a free email which will be put inside your CV in order to receive projects and therefore we will reply on your behalf.
We can also email your certificates if needed to clients on your behalf. We will give you the projects and in cases when you are not available, we will give the projects to other translators.
If you agree, you will be considered as a close team member and consequently you will be eligible for any developmental plan. This is part of group work based on mutual cooperation because the translation market is full of competition.
Please let me know so that we start work. If you agree, sign this authorization and agreement document.

You are a big lie and scammer Le Guillan. We offer a job but he ask for an advance payment and we pay, after that, he disappear; didn't give translation nor money so be aware from him not from Language Met.
Proz.com and Link both confirm that LANGUAGEMET is a notorious non payer and scammer that is involved in stealing translators' identities..
NO, all translators agree that we ask for permission that's mean we don't steal, we ask for permission; that's a proof that we are honest people.
Really? And is that why you do not pay them? Have a look on the Proz.com blueboard regarding the payment record of Languagemet...
Are you work with us and didn't paid or you have a time to spend?
Kindly, don't make a bad reputation for us; Should there is translator didn't paid, he must contact us to assist him and to see if he gave us quality translation and deserve to get money or not.
Here is the evidence that LANGUAGEMET does not pay its translators: http://www.proz.com/blueboard/9086 and check out the thread here at Tranlation Directory on identity theft. Who gets mentioned? LANGUAGEMET. An actual victim has a lot to say about it too.
Really, you waste my time, thanks for every thing, dear and please don't never ever work with us.
Interesting that Languagemet does not address the issues.
Hello,
I am a translator working for you, and I wanted to contact Amena Amra in relation to a project from Italian into English that hasn't been paid yet. I have tried to contact you at the phone number you posted on this site but a man answered who didn't speak English. Please contact me on this e-mail address, as I have sent multiple e-mails related to this, and received no reply.

And I am still waiting for my money...Since April 2012!
I will have my lawyer now chasing them. Every people scammed, please feel free to join!
I have also been contacted by this company and several times the last week. There are various people contacting me from this company and each time I am "demanded" to do the work they send me even though it also comes in languages I do not translate nor speak.
The language in the mails I receive is of really poor quality and the way you are approached is highly unprofessional. Having done a search on this company I can safely say that I will not undertake any work for them. I also find it hugely unprofessional to bring politics and their situation in Gaza into this.
Avoid this company at all costs. It will only lead to head aches!
@Maria, maybe they are marketing your CV (without your permission). I sometimes receive mail from Languagemet too, but I have informed them that I do not want to collaborate with them.
LANUAGEMET ARE A GANG OF CROOKS FROM PALESTINE. DON'T WORK FOR THEM, BECAUSE THEY WON'T PAY YOU. FURTHERMORE, THEY WILL STEAL YOUR CV IDENTITY TO GET WORK.
These guys are a bunch of SCAMMERS. DO NOT ACCEPT WORK FROM THEM, THEY DO NOT PAY. They commit to a written agreement and blatantly disregard it. They are unreliable SCAMMERS. I was assigned a project, and now they replied to my invoice saying "We cannot find your project", and I am left 392.55 USD out of pocket, to support an agency that I would pay to have removed from this sector of activity, these are the people that ruin the industry for the rest of us, the honest, reliable, accountable, responsible, hard-working parties. It's just another form of theft.
