Re[2]: Non-payer: Tek Translation
One word of sound advice to all translators who are thinking about using the Small Claims Court, either inside or outside Spain: DON'T! The reason is that Tek will reject your claim and will not pay you, which means you will have to start another, different legal procedure. Can Tek reject your claim once the judge has ruled in favor of you, just like that? Yes, they can, because in Spain the debtor enjoys legal protection, not the creditor.
I haven't read/heard about any translator recovering money from Tek by legal means so far, which is barely surprising in the light of the above.
Think twice before you deal with companies based in Spain.
