Re: Fake Money Orders
Hi All,
perhaps someone - who doesn't have to fix 800' of goat fencing in the next few days - should compile a list of absolute no-no's, like
- generic email or 'company' at gmail & such
sometimes the company does exist but not where the IP is, and when you call them they have never heard of that person.
- refusal to do paypal
- traveling business man needing a presentation translated urgently
- any time the initial contact starts with complaining about other or previous translators
- it is "too good to be true"
- "mood swings" in the person - you know it when you see it
- incomplete communication, unformatted inline comments
When in doubt - don't and if the 'company' makes it a rush, refuses to answer questions, pressures you with a "yes or no or we have to give it to another translator . . . . RUN - DO NOT WALK to the nearest exit.
