Martin Wunderlich’s FOSS links page
Many novice (or even experienced) users of free and open software have lamented the lack of a unified list of open source resources for translation and localization. As of this month, lament no more, because translator Martin Wunderlich has assembled just such a list, and it's available on Martin's site. The list (available in English and German) currently includes sections on Tools and Utilities, Open Standards, Information sources, and Miscellaneous related projects. The Open Standards information is particularly useful if you're wondering what all these acronyms (XLIFF, TMX, TBX, etc) mean; check out the Tools and Utilities section for a comprehensive list of open source tools for localization and translation; the list will tell you up front what software the tools require and what license they're released under.
