My minimum rate is 0.07 Euro per source word.

But I prefer to work at 0.08 Euro per source word.

I charge for my services at least 40 Euro per hour.

And my minimum charge per document is 20 Euro.

I have obtained an official translator / linguist degree.

I have been working as a translator since 2007.

I have over nine years of experience in the industry, and have excelled as a translator, interpreter, and Japanese document reviewer since completing my masters degree at The University of Tokyo. My long list of clients includes numerous law firms, major corporations, magazines, and newspapers in Manhattan and Tokyo, as well as professors at the University of Tokyo. I am experienced in a diversity of fields, including legal contracts, automotive, finance, medicine, sociology, educational psychology, and fiction, and can rapidly adapt to new terminology.

Working and studying in Japan for six years granted me a deep culture specific understanding of the language, which culminated with my degree from The University of Tokyo. I took the same grueling entrance exam as native Japanese applicants, with handwritten translation and essays in Japanese on anthropology, law, and global politics. I carried out my education and research entirely in Japanese and Korean, providing the rigorous training needed to fortify my career as a linguist.

My grasp of the Japanese language is not just native level (certified JLPT Level 1), but at an education level commensurate with the top rung of Japanese society. I am also an avid and accomplished writer. I have worked in commercial copywriting, both in British and American English, write fiction extensively in my free time, and have published several works. I am positive that I can be a powerful asset to any translation project.
