After almost 30 years living and working with the german people I have decided to use my language skills as a career, now that I am approaching retirement age. I do not use any translation tools, other than my own brain, which may be slower but it is more accurate in my opinion.
My experience comes from various language courses throughout my military career, culminating in my Civil Service Commisiion qualification, acheived in 1987 after 2 years study at the Higher Education Centre in Mülheim a.d. Ruhr, in Germany.
After that, I stayed and worked in Germany, getting to know people from all walks of life, before coming to Tenerife to live.
Even here, I have been involved with the german people, as an excursions advisor for the last few years, so my language has still been used.
