I started off my career in 1978 at United Nations International School, graduating with an International Baccalaureate (concentrations in: French, Philosophy, Biology, Chemistry, Math and English) in 1990. I then obtained my Bachelor of Arts in Political Science and French Literature with a Minor in English from New York University in 1994. I went on to pursue my Master\'s Degree from Columbia University\'s Reid Hall Program and facility in Paris, France in French Cultural Studies and graduated in 1996. Finally, I obtained my Paralegal Certificate from New York Paralegal School in 2007 and my Interpreter\'s Certificate from Bromberg & Associates LLP - Legal Online Interpreters in 2010. I am the daughter of immigrant American, Berber-Algerian parents. As an American and native New Yorker I practice and am bilingual in French and English. I also have conversational Spanish language skills. I have always made trips to Paris, France over the summers, and lived in Paris as a graduate student after which I decided to make the pursuit of translating French my full-time occupation. I started a PhD. at CUNY-The Graduate School Center here in New York, but opted to pursue a career in Translation and Localization in the end. I am a translator who specializes in Legal and Business translations (specialisms: Immigration Law, Human Rights). I especially enjoy using my writing and translation consulting services in working with agencies and individuals who service linguistic and cultural minorities and deal with Women\'s Issues in the Middle East. Recently, I have found an aptitude for Medical Interpreting. | |
