Hi there, Hope you're doing great! I happen to come across your job posting and find it very interesting to work on since it is about translating English into Tagalog. Tagalog is a very diverse language since Philippines has been colonized by different countries before. There has been some added words to it and some of our dialects were even inspired by the languages spoken by some foreign settlers. I worked on many other English to Tagalog translation jobs but mostly for Bible and religious books/pamphlets which is harder because I had to use ancient Tagalog words instead of the normal Tagalog terms. I also worked in the BPO (business process outsource/call centers) for American companies and that forced me to learn more and speak the English language fluently since some customer's don't like to speak to representatives located offshore and we needed to sound like we are not in a different country. I also became an English communication skills trainer on one of the BPO jobs I worked for. Most translation nowadays are often based on google translate and other online translating apps which causes words and definition to jumble and harder to understand and loses the story/lesson's message to the readers. I also wanted to make sure that the end result will live up to your expectations and that is why I would like to know first if you'd like the translation to turn out in a formal Tagalog or if you want it to sound more casual with some new-generation terms and/or lingo? Thank you for reading my proposal. Have a good day/night! -Joanna
