I lived and worked in the UK for almost 5 years in total, where I had the opportunity to obtain the IOL Diploma in Translation after a full year preparation course at the University of Westminster in London. I currently live in Brazil with my husband, who is English and also a translator.
I started in the translation field in 2003, while still working at a back office financial data company in the City of London, where I had the role of researching and translating mainly financial data from Spanish and Portuguese into English.
I also have a degree in Advertising and some professional experience in the field, which gives me a good level of expertise in related areas such as marketing.
As for other areas, I have translated a selection of texts including UK welfare law issues (+5 years translating for a Legal Aid firm of solicitors), logistics (two months in-house work for Procter & Gamble Brazil), some scientific texts, websites, company profiles and cvs, among others. |
