My name is Cátia, I\'m 32 years old and I live in Sydney, Australia. I started translating 8 years ago, when a former employer asked me if I could translate his ACAD manuals for another staff member. He loved my job and encouraged me to pursue a career as a translator. Since then I\'ve been only doing smaller jobs as I invested in getting my full qualification first.
In 2009 I passed the Institute of Linguistics Diploma in Translation and I\'m now starting my career as a professional translator. I love my job as it gives the opportunity to learn lots of different subjects and allows me to be the bridge between two cultures.
