I was particularly attracted to the position because of my background and interest in foreign languages and teaching. The position will allow me to apply my language skills and teaching talents to a more specialized and fulfilling career. I was born and grew up in old Kirgizia, which has been known as Kyrgyzstan since 1991. Thus, I am knowledgeable of the languages, history, culture, and traditions of the region. I am fluent in Kyrgyz, Russian, Kazakh, and English and proficient in reading Turkish and Uzbek. I have additionally studied Kurmanji, and am always eager to learn more languages and customs. As a law student for 3 years at the University of Moscowskaya, I was able to further develop my English and foreign language skills. Law school also afforded me the opportunity to acquire a significant amount of experience in debating, public speaking, and substitute teaching for English classes. Since I moved to the United States as a military dependent in 2003, I have continued to hone my English skills and maintained fluency in all of my native languages. I volunteer as an interpreter or translator within my community, and take advantage of every opportunity to use my skills to help or teach others. I have always demonstrated a special talent for learning different languages, as well as for teaching them to others. I am certain that such talents will make me very successful and valuable to the Foreign Language Teaching Recruters in accomplishing its educational goals.
