Since 2003 I have worked as a freelance translator, alongside my college- and university studies at Aarhus University, where I have a earned a Bachelor degree in Philosophy and Journalism.

I am a native Danish speaker, raised bilingually with English as a (second) first language, as my father was English and did not speak any other language. I regularly visit my relatives in the UK, where I reside at times and I consider myself 100% Bilingual, which has been a great advantage for me both personally and professionally.

Since the beginning of my career as a translator/proofreader, I have gathered a wide variety of experience in many different fields and provided quality translations for both individual, private clients and for different commercial translation-services, many of whom I have an on-going working relationship with.
I have undertaken both work with a more “personalized” feel, such as letters to the editor etc. and also worked on large, tech-specific projects, such as legal contracts and technical manuals, as well as working on website-translations for online retailers.
I have also worked for a long period of time as a ‘subtitler’ with an international subtitling company, providing subtitles to some of the largest Hollywood production companies such as 20th century fox and Paramount.

I am proficient in the use of the CAT tool; Trados and I am able to work and deliver translations in most formats, to meet any required technical specification etc.
I have also worked with a range of specialized tools for translation and subtitling, while working for different employers with specific needs and I am highly adaptable when it comes to changes in procedure and the use of new software/equipment.
