We are currently seeking French to English Translators for Economics and Finance subjects. Please find below the terms of reference for the freelance position.

1. Language skills: (i) Native speaker fluency in the English language; (ii) Advanced proficiency in reading and comprehension in the French language; (iii) Minimum 5 years of documented translation experience; (iv) Diploma from a translation school or membership in a professional translator association; (v) Excellent English writing ability such as acquired by formal studies and/or extensive reading and/or professional writing (samples to be provided); and (vi) Superior proofreading skills.

2. Subject matter skills: Minimum 4 years of post-secondary education preferably in the field of economics, finance or political sciences and (ii) Familiarity with the terminology and concepts associated with either: macroeconomics, economic development, finance, accounting and banking, political sciences or education and public health, as demonstrated by a university degree or translation samples, complemented by references.

3.
