The Role:
• Formatting foreign-language scripts for Hollywood movie into subtitle files in accordance to studio specifications for DVD distribution
• Matching foreign-language subtitle files to English audio and vice versa
• Performing quality control checks on language subtitles
• Liaising with Language Project Coordinators in affiliate offices worldwide

Duties & Responsibilities:
• You will assess the incoming text material from Hollywood studios (dialogue lists, spotting lists, continuity lists, subtitle files)
• You will determine and perform the appropriate format conversion (converting to and from PAL/NTSC and/or Blu-ray)
• Using proprietary software, you will match the non-English subtitle file to the master English file and vice versa
• Applying your diversified language skills, you will ensure the text and audio are synchronized

Education, Experience and Competencies:
• Preferred language mother tongue: French Canadian, European French, Italian, German, Spanish, Portuguese, Dutch, Mandarin Traditional, Korean, Cantonese, Latin American Spanish , Brazilian Portuguese , Swedish, Danish, Norwegian, Mandarin Simplified, Romanian and Spanish (Castilian), with strong English proficiency

• There are two ways of getting audio files:
• We will send you the audio directly if we get it from the client

• Files may be of different duration and exactly we also do not know. Normally we pay per minute Audio files not for the time you spend on doing it.
• But we have urgent project that is why we are paying much more than our normal rates. But do not worry; files may be 10 minutes to 25 minutes.
• If the file is too long but less than 45 minutes, you will be given between $14-$18.
• Please remember, client will not pay us for any incomplete files, so please listen the whole audio at your end and make sure that you have done complete audio file.
• Files may be easy or tough, please listen the file randomly from different places, if you think you can do it, and only when send the confirmation of acceptance
• We have tight deadline due to which we have to update the client every hour and we hope the same from you.
• Payment would be delivered after 30-35 days upon receiving the invoice of your own formatting.

We have recently done many transcription project this month and found many mistakes from the transcribers which cost us a huge loss. To make us and you save, we have mentioned everything in detail and in advance.
