Search Evaluation Specialist - Austria: Job 00000829

Details of the project: As our Austria SES you will be our point of contact for search engine feedback for Austria and will actively discover, collect and report search engines issues. You will be the "eyes and ears" on the ground actively communicating with the general public regarding their thoughts and views on various topics ranging from search engines to everyday issues. This role requires the tracking of other competitive products, local news, trends and the provision of feedback on feature/product suggestions ensuring to keep the search engine superior in the local market. Finally, the role requires that feedback be provided on methods of suggesting and prioritizing features together with tracking launches and product feedback that affect Austria.

Job specification:
• Generate search experience reports with details on search quality, features, user interface and competitive landscape (Average frequency- 1 per month)
• Complete weekly tasks: -
1. Perform lightweight analysis on results
2. Produce feedback on these tasks.
• Keep inventory of competitors and assist in identifying future trends
• Continuously provide feedback on issues, bugs, etc. via sparrow, buganizer, and other means into search engine teams. (Average file count -3/4 per week)
• Conduct lightweight user research (usability, focus groups, field studies, etc).
• Complete adhoc tasks at the request of international quality PM/eng/marketing teams


Qualifications required:
• Reside in Austria
• Fluent in German and English
• College degree or equivalent
• Strong written communication skills
• Very enthusiastic about improving technology and search engine options. Applicants do not need to be from an Engineering background but technical knowledge is an advantage.
• Knowledgeable about Austria’s online (web based) market, business dynamics, and can analyze competitive search results
• Marketing or business experience is an advantage

Ongoing English German project: Job 00000820

Scope:
We currently have an ENGLISH to GERMAN high volume project running. 4 files will need to be delivered on Monday (those have already been assigned), and we will be getting more files through next week for a total of 20 files. There are small files (of 700-2000 words each), and some larger files (of 2000-5000 words each). We will need to deliver at least 2 files per day. The project will be sent in MS Word format and you will need to deliver it in the same format. The subject is fianacial/accounting (general ledgers and such).

Payment terms:
Since this is a high volume project, we are offering $0.04 USD per source word.

Payment will be done through Paypal only (if you are outside the U.S.), and if you are in the US, we can mail you a check if you prefer to avoid Paypal fees, otherwise it will be done through Paypal as well.

Payment will be done in 30 days. If you handle a lot of the files, we can make arrangements for advanced partial payments before the 30 days. We reserve the right to make payments for poor translations (so far we have not had any problems with quality). All of our translators are very satisfied with the way projects are handled as support is always available.

1 Review the Functional & Reporting Requirements and documents for each module to determine all gaps.
2 Internally prioritize gaps according the user using the following categories:
Critical: can’t do business without
High: can do business without for one month
Medium: can do business without for a short period
Low: nice to have, can do business without, but would significantly enhance user acceptance
Conflict: conflicts with future business process
3 Check gaps against future business flows to confirm that they are valid with the future vision of the process (especially true of approvals, notifications). If they are not consistent with the future flows, assign a “conflict” priority.

Details of the project: We are an entertainment market research firm based in London specialising in the movie and computer game industries. This is an opportunity for freelance translators to take part in our foreign language studies whereby responses to online questionnaires must be translated and coded into an excel template for analysis by a Marketcast analyst. Translator and analyst will then collaborate to review the nuance of the responses for an in-depth feel of the data.

There is no need for much previous experience however demonstrable and accurate translation skills are an obvious must and familiarity with Excel is desirable.

Candidates MUST be able to come to our offices in CENTRAL LONDON to perform the translations.

Translation projects will be coming in on an ongoing basis as we are expanding internationally. They are however sporadic at present and will typically be 1 or 2 days in duration.

The current translation project takes place next week (w/c 29th June) for 1.5 days (likely Tues/Wed or Wed/Thurs) and candidates will be paid ?150 total (no travel expenses so best if you are within London - our office is based in Holborn)
