We are an ISO certified English language solutions company well established in Japan and are now expanding to other non-native markets like China and Taiwan. We edit as well as translate academic papers across all subject areas. And have a lot of extensive knowledge in academic domain with over 6,000 clients and having edited in excess of 15,000 papers.

Our client is a social media consultant they are looking for young talented people who can read and understand Mandarin (Simplified Chinese) at an advanced level.

The required talent would be expected to browse through social networking sites, Blogs, online forums and other online discussion websites and tabulate the required information on an hourly basis and categorize information in English for a particular brand according to what is being said, how often it is being said and what is the tone of the comment posted on the website.

We are currently looking for a dynamic, smart individual who can be good internet researchers. We are looking for people that can interpret a comment on a particular brand (diverse range of consumer-facing products and services) rather than translate the comment word for word.

They would need to be proficient in Mandarin as the job requires them to read paragraphs of information online, understand the content and categorize the information in English according to specifications which would be provided on an excel sheet by us. Additionally we would also want to know the Mandarin proficiency levels of the talent.

He will be required to fulfill the roles and responsibilities as outlined below (not exhaustive).

Tasks:
v Online research

Ø use social media tools – Blogs, wikis, social networking sites, discussion forums, etc – to understand the online conversation around the companies/brand These could be conversations started by their customers, employees or investors) and to respond to it.
Ø Online reputation monitoring of various brands
Ø Gauge the popular online perception around your brand
Ø Able to tap industry trends, identify online influencers, track competitors’ moves in the online space

Required skills and knowledge:
- The ideal candidate has to be very driven and self motivated.
- Good English reading/writing skill
- monitoring and analysis
- Computer skills: MS Office, Word, Excel
- Broad band internet connection.
- Advance Good Mandarin /traditional Chinese writing skill

Note that we are also open to fresh graduates for this role. Our primary requirement is a dynamic, smart person, who wants to make a difference by his presence. And should be a veteran blogger.

Work Conditions
This is a very stress free job. You will be required to work from home with a high speed, stable internet connection. We require you to give us hourly and monthly rates. You can indicate in your application. We are open to making this a full-time role as well. The remuneration for this role would be done at a monthly level.
