Georgian Current Affairs Analyst: Job 00000372

The United States Government's OPEN SOURCE CENTER (OSC) is looking for a current affairs analyst/writer to work outside of London. The position entails following developments in the Georgian and Russian media and producing analytic and multimedia products on those areas. Duties will include coverage of breaking news, producing translations, web content management, conducting research, and writing analysis.
This is a career opportunity offering a competitive remuneration and benefits package, including paid holidays, pension scheme and private health plan.

Minimum salary £25,000 per annum, negotiable subject to experience.

All applicants must have the legal right to work in the UK in accordance with the Asylum and Immigration Act 1996.


Position Qualifications:

Knowledge of and interest in Georgian and Russian current affairs (degree-level or equivalent).  Ability to translate written and spoken Georgian and Russian into English.
 
Strong English writing skills

Strong technical skills and knowledge of new media, web content management, and/or digital media tools.

High energy, self motivated individual with proven team working skills and flexibility.
