Welocalize is currently seeking a Tamil Junior Linguist.
The following is a non-exhaustive list of responsibilities and areas of ownership for this role
Owns linguistic quality
Regular calls with client in-country reviewer
Coordinate the linguistic team
Create and maintain linguistic assets and translation memories
Validate translations through proofreading
Translation and review tasks
Status reporting and KPI tracking
Communicate asset updates and client feedback to linguistic team
Onboard and train new linguists
Review translator and reviewer tests
Communicate translation team assignment preferences to PM team
Query management/client feedback implementation
Analyze linguist deliverables, determine root causes of issues and implement actions for improvement
Support linguists in understanding corrections and in the arbitration process
Support linguists in asking any questions during production and escalate to Welocalize as needed
Identify and highlight workload or workflow issues and provide solutions to the Welocalize team

Special requirements to the applicants: Qualifications
Education Level
University degree in Linguistics, Translation or related field
Experience
Two or more years of experience in localization, terminology management, quality control, and TM tools
Fluent in English (both written and spoken, in a wide range of registers)
Knowledge of main CAT tools, specifically Trados Studio and WorldServer Knowledge of X-bench and/or other Language QA tools
Excellent understanding of Translation Memory tools and Translation Management Systems (TMS) such as GTT. A good understanding of Machine Translation (MT) engines and MT Post-editing, (processes, tools, schedule and budget impact).
We want to pay for this job 15 EUR per hour
