Details of the project: Reports to: Operations Director - Translations
Purpose
To lead the overall delivery and quality of all written translations from English to German at Language Insight.
Ensuring at all times that the team delivers customer excellence both internally and externally.
Context
To make sure through operational management, we efficiently and effectively respond to our client needs in order to achieve outstanding results through transcription, translation and interpretation services worldwide.
Ensuring the team delivers a first class global service at all times.
Supervise and manage the delivery of the German translation service at Language Insight.
Fully understand the scope of work from the Project team and deliver it through the German translation team.
Collaborate with relevant teams within Language Insight to generate and align plans.
Manage the team efficiently in order to exceed client expectations and deadlines through effective delivery of
translations.
Manage the overall Translator Testing, create translator tests that meet our content requirements and review test submissions.
Manage the overall Quality Assurance, conduct monthly quality reviews using our proprietary quality assurance mechanism.
Manage the overall Translation Turnaround, ensure all work is turnaround within the specific time scale and report findings to the Director.
Oversee the Resource Creation, assist with creating language-specific translator resources.
Ensure terminological and stylistic consistency of texts.
Adapt technical texts for a wide readership.
Ensure translation resources maintain a high level of quality, time keeping and professional standards in line with our ISO 9001 quality system and quality objectives.
Identify and develop key performance indicators (KPIs) for success measurement and reporting.
Analyse and report weekly to the Operations Director of Translation on team effectiveness, results and team KPI’s of translating 2000 words per day.
Develop and help other members of your team to develop, a strong understanding of the services and objectives of each client.
Liaise weekly with the Senior Project Coordinator to highlight any potential issues in delivering excellence.
Analyse client feedback and assist with remedial action plans.
Monitor internal service level agreements in order to plan for further internal resource.
Have an understanding and awareness of internal and outsourcing costs in order for the team to remain cost effective on weekly basis and report this into the Operations Director.
Keep abreast of the financial costs on the 14th of each month and plan ahead.
Provide leadership and management to the translation team.
Set PDPs and Objectives for the translation team.
Hold weekly team meetings with them to keep abreast of any issues.

Professional experience in translation, revision and editing
University degree and/or post-graduate qualification in translation
We will pay for this job 35 EUR per hour
