Zóster
Enfermedad causada por el virus de la varicela
zóster, agente causal de la varicela. Este
virus se aloja en las terminaciones nerviosas de
todas las personas que han tenido varicela y puede
activarse años después y causar zóster.
Este último produce adormecimiento, picazón
o dolor intenso, seguido de aparición de
grupos de lesiones vesiculosas en un patrón
similar al de una franja en un lado del cuerpo.
El dolor puede persistir por semanas, meses o años
después de que sana la erupción cutánea.
