Forum for Translators: non payment
Hi everybody,
Did anyone faced non-payment from languageaide.com?
Hi Friends,
I'm experiencing postponement of payment from languageaide.com.
I'd like to know whether anyone had experienced the same.
Please help me to know.
Thanks
Ganesan.S
I worked for Language Aide for about 2/3 years. They were always very prompt with payment. However, something must be going on with their company that they took 6 months to pay me for my last few jobs. They did pay me, but I don't think I am interested to work for companies who are not as strict with payment as they are with us meeting their deadlines. Besides that, the source docs are all in very bad English, which puts us in a very difficult spot regarding quality.
Thanks Ana Shuster for your kind response.
Your words make me feel better; even stronger.
Thanks again
Hi everyone,
Beware of a man who calls himself suparna.dream@gmail.com and claims that his actual name is Abhijit from Delhi. He got me to do a translation job for him in November and he still yet has not paid me despite all my mails.
The mobile number from where he calls if on the name of a beauty parlour and when confronted , he says that it belongs to his wife. He is not a registered agency which he hid in the begening and mumbled some agency name which when I checked never existed and the google search says that that "particular domain " is vacant. He calls you when you mail him because he never wants to commit himself in any written form. Despite all that when I got wise I started recording his phone calls.
e still has not paid INR 11000/ for which I did translate from English to Telugu more than 3 months back.
He contacted me through mail looking at my CV with translatiosdirectory.
So beware guys and girls, he is a total fraud.

Hi,
I am sorry to read that the agency has not paid yet. I saw the agency is from India, they delay a lot. I have worked with some Indian Agencies and I got paid three months later. BUT I GOT PAID!
Regards.
Hi,
Thanks for your kind words. I worked with them with trust. Trusted them as if they are my colleagues. But they are showing their gratitude by postponement. Anyway as you GOT PAID, I hope I may.
Regards

Unfortunately, I only saw this now.
I was asked for a translation of 20 000 words by GT Translations last December and never got paid for the job. I contacted the Spanish company the translation was supposed to be for, and they refused to help me out. I wish there were a way I could get my money :(
Ana,
Sorry to hear you get ripped off by those scammers at GT (Gentle Translations).
Did you report Gentle Translations to TD to be blacklisted? You should.
Gentle Translations is just another name for Translation Secrets and Languagemet (and several other scam gangs, including Amazing Trans (now Safety Translation), Expert of Linguists, Purity Translations, Powerful Translation, etc).
