Forum for Translators: languagemet back!!!!!!!
Hi,
I have been fooled by a company which name is TRANSLATIONSECRETS one year ago. They owe me 6 invoices.
Of course, when time came to pay, everybody escaped and no one answered anymore. When I tried to contact then some time after and published a notice here in this same Forum, they just answered "The job is so bad we can't pay for it"...Well...So , I just answered Proove it to me?!Send me the edited file? What's more, don't you think it is strange to hire someone for 6 jobs when since the beginning you find it is a bad quality?!
Anyway, those days, I received many contact demands by Skype, and they all came from Languagemet (the new name of TRANSLATIONSECRETS).
Of course, I told the guys the story and asked them to pay me before asking me any other task!....And of course, they all kept silent. So bewae of these scammers! They should NOT BE IN THE INDUSTRY ANYMORE!!!! Stay awayyyyyy from them! If you had problems too with this company, please contact me, maybe we can do a join complaint against them? gaëlle
Dear colleagues,
It is great to accept comments from translators that use Google translation. Those translators actually are considered as a newbie to the industry and I am sure certain clients are lucky enough to hire them. I know that translation unique job must be done by translators that have experience at least five to ten years but there are new graduates that call themselves as experts and think that Google is there to help them but they even never heard of collocation, allocation, localization or contextualized texts. They even need hundreds of years to understand such terms.
We are not ready to pay Google translators and I advise Google to remove this online electronic dictionary. I advise you to take primary course to learn the countable and uncountable as you say to my colleague that you need from us many money in stead of saying much money. We lost at least 6 clients due to your Google translation.
If we do not pay translators, we will not be able to survive continuing to run this business. If Google removes its electronic dictionary, you are going to use other electronic dictionaries for sure. Still I have my advice for Google.
I can send all jobsI have done to anyone wishing, who will judge If It is Machine translation or not.
Imad, it is strange you find time to answer here but never to any mail. Shy didn't you send any updated versions of my "so called machines jobs"??? Can you just answer this. Can you also answer this: why did you hire a "machine translator" 6 consecutive times????
Also interesting: http://www.proz.com/forum/scams/238697-jennifer_tom_from_languagemet.html
And the bad marks for non payments too:http://www.proz.com/blueboard/9086
Is this strange?....
Proz rate of 3.6 out of 5 is not bad.
We will increase Proz rate to be 4.8 or 4.9 with more entries.
And what you forget to mention: "This outsourcer [Languagemet] has been banned from posting jobs at ProZ.com."
Once again, you talk about a different topic.
I told you many times, I am interested in talking about TranslationSecrets.com and its credibility.
Shall we talk here about women gossip behavior?
Shall we talk here about car race?
Shall we talk here about first and second world war?
Shall we talk here about Guantanamo bay detention centre?
Shall we talk here about wrestling?
Shall we talk here about playing cards?
Please talk about specific subjects so that you do not waste time of translators and readers.
http://www.proz.com/forum/scams/245617-languagemet_looks_like_the_same_old_scam.html
Please talk about the same subject of Google translation.
I am not interested about any topics such as LanguageMet or cooking or going to the see for fishing or swimming. I am only interested in the fact that we pay our translators.
I still remain to advise Google to remove its electronic dictionary.
ARE YOU STUPID??? I TOLD YOU SEVERAL TIMES JUST TO SEND ME THE SO CALLED MACHINE VERSIONS ?? AND THE UPDATED FILES?
ALSO, JUST ANSER THOSE TWO SIMPLE QUESTIONS:
- WHY DID YOU HIRE ME 6 TIMES IF I DELIVERED AT FIRST A GOOGLE TRANSLATION?
- WHY ARE YOU SO BAD MARKED ON TC AND PROZ?
Saying "stupid" to me is not professional and I am sure TD is a very professional site that does not allow such street language.
I am sorry for not being able to continue talk with anyone that has no respect.
Actually, I will assume that you are not right by a simple answer: -
When we did not pay the 1st job, why you accepted the 2nd job.
When we did not pay the second job, why you accepted the third job.
When we did not pay the third job, why you accepted the forth job.
And so on.......
Please learn ethics before you talk here.
Bye
Translation agencies in the Middle East, India and China tend to outsource work to the translator who is crazy enough to accept the ridiculously low fees they dictate. These agencies just get what they pay for. They will even try to manipulate you to take on board projects outside your sphere of expertise. This is how desperate these agencies are. They cannot even find translators in their own respective countries to work for the low rates they offer.
Here is a good tip: If you do not live in the Middle East, India or China, for example, do not accept jobs from agencies from those parts. Do not let yourself be manipulated into accepting jobs from them. Kindly refuse. If they keep persisting, then just block them.
This is the nature of business which is to find a low price service provider. We can outsource 0.03 - 0.04 for Eng Ger. Why not? translators accept.
0.03 - 0.04 USD is an unacceptable rate for a translator. At Proz.com the acceptable LOWEST rates are between 0.09-0.12 USD.
And another one....

So IMAD, WHAT DO YOU ANSWER NOX? I am the DISHONNEST HERE?!....
Isn't that strange we don't hear IMAD anymore? ....... Those people should be BANISHED from the translation Industry
Languagemet has been spamming me a lot lately, even though I informed them that I would not let them market my CV to get work. I assume they have already stolen my identity (hence all the offers I have been receiving from them lately).
I agree with le guillan gaelle. Stay clear of these guys! They will steal your identity and they will not pay you. All the complaints on Proz.com regarding this company will confirm what has been posted at TD.
Thanks!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Imad: Can you also answer why you are banned from posting jobs on proz, if you are honnest as you say you are? :)
Hello,
Please ask Proz not me.
Once again, you talk about Languagemet and next time you may talk about cooking a nice meal of fish and going for swimming.
Guys, I am interested in talking about the credibility of TranslationSecrets.com only specially when talking about payment. Ok?
I answered. I reply late due to being busy.
One colleague has just received this mail:
BEWARE!!!

Hello,
We have lots of translators that have been working with us for years.
The last record submitted on Proz by one translator is a rate of 5 out of 5.
I am wondering whether Google removed its electronic dictionary or not.
Emad, but you do not mention the long row of ones below that five and the messages above that Translation Secrets have been banned from posting further jobs (and, of course, all the scam reports involving Translation Secrets and their affiliated companies).
I do not understand why you guys do not pay your translators, especially since you pay approx. 2.5 US Dollars per word (which is a joke!).
Maybe your clients could save money and let Google do the work for them free of charge.
Sorry, I mean 0.025 USD per word (if you get paid at all).
We are waiting an answer , Emad!
The latest score on the Proz.com blueboard is 1. Obviously you guys have not paid another translator.
3.4 score of 16 entries is very fine.
Actually, that translator may have bad quality but really I do not know him because we receive lots of payment requests from our staff members.
3.4 is not good. The fact that you are banned from Proz.com for dubious scams, identity theft and not paying translators proves that.
I had been approached by this LanguageMet many times, often by mass emails offering ridiculously low rates. To avoid getting banned by antispam programs, they used IDs like languagemet38@gmail.com or languagemet41@gmail.com instead of an ID based on their own domain name. I wrote back and asked them to stop spamming me - seemed it worked.
